Interesante. No si recordaras que en abril del año pasado comenté un articulo de "Investigación y Ciencia"  que me pareció interesante "Morfología del Cerebro" (Pg. 62) de Claus C. Hilgetag y Helen Barbas "Quienes han sido diagnosticados de autismo exhiben, a su vez, circunvoluciones corticales anómalas. Parece que presentan surcos más profundos y ligeramente desplazados con respecto a los individuos sanos". No sé si se basan exactamente en lo mismo ya que lo mejor que he encontrado es esto:

"The team used an MRI scanner to take pictures of the brain's grey matter. A separate imaging technique was then used to reconstruct these scans into 3D images that could be assessed for structure, shape and thickness ... By studying the complex and subtle make-up of grey matter in the brain, the scientists can use biological markers, rather than personality traits, to assess whether or not a person has ASD. ... ASD is a lifelong and disabling condition caused by abnormalities in brain development"
