up a good cephalopod story: From his tank at the Sea Life Aquarium in
Germany, Paul the Octopus has predicted that Spain will beat the
Netherlands in the World Cup. Paul "predicts" the outcome by selecting
a mussel from a box bearing the country's flag. So far, his picks have
been right for all of Germany's World Cup matches. Some disgruntled
German fans have suggested turning Paul into paella. Aquarium
officials promised that Paul will not be eaten, even if Holland wins.
That's more job security than most of us have.
